Chef Sheena's Favorite Recipes

World-renowned in the doggy world, Chef Sheena knows how to bake up the best dog biscuits

Her favorite ingredients include peanuts (and peanut butter) and canned, or boiled, pumpkin.  She likes to bake up a special batch at Christmas time for her family and friends - including Molly.

Chef Sheena is ready to bake!

Try baking up some biscuits using one of my favorite recipes.  I'm sure your best friend will love them as much as I do!

Chef Sheena's Holiday Surprise Treats - Yum!!!

Ingredients: 2 Cups mixed grain(or whole wheat) Flour (for lighter colored biscuits, use white flour) , 1 Tbsp. baking powder, 1 Cup chunky peanut butter, 1/2 Cup canned or boiled pumpkin, 1/4 Cup water, pinch of cinnamon

Preparation: Mix all ingredients together, working the mixture with your hands/paws until the dough becomes more workable.  Roll dough on floured surface to 1/4 to 1/2 thick.  Cut with cookie cutters to desired shape.  Bake at 400 degrees F for 15-20 minutes.

Add some colored frosting to make gourmet doggy biscuits - but don't add chocolate, please, it makes us sick!

Ingredients: flour, water, beef or chicken boullion, food coloring (optional- add peanut butter)

Preparation:  Make a broth with a cube of bouillon and a cup of hot water.  Add the color you want your frosting to be.  If you want more of a "chocolate-y" consistency to bicuits which you will store in the fridge, add a bit of butter or peanut butter to the flour.  Otherwise, just make a paste with plain flour and the colorful broth.  Depending upon the thickness of your "frosting" or "glaze" you can either spread or drizzle on the cut cookies before baking.  To make a shinier glaze, you can also try adding a beaten egg to your "frosting."  Experiment with different frostings with different colors to make gourmet doggie biscuits!

Here's Sheena's batch before the pretty packaging. Not bad for a puppy!
